SO10160 - Load Upgrades from Removable Media
Description:
Instructions on how to install upgrades from a removable disk.

  1. On the Upgrade Systems screen you may choose to export installed upgrade files. Tag the systems and states you want to export, then click on the file menu and select Export (figure 1).

  2. Select the drive where your removable device is located. Click OK (figure 2).

  3. A status bar will display the progress of the export (figure 3).

  4. The files will appear on the drive like this (figure 4).

  5. When you want to install the upgrades from the removable device, open TaxWorks 2008 and select Upgrade from Removable Media from the Installations menu (figure 5).

  6. Enter the path where the upgrades are located, or click the browse button (figure 6).

  7. Select the path where the upgrades were exported. Click OK (figure 7).

  8. The path should appear in the box. Click Load (figure 8).

  9. A status bar will display the progress as the upgrades are installed (figure 9).

  10. When the upgrades are finished installing, a message will appear asking if you would like to load more upgrades from any other disks. If you are done installing upgrades, click No (figure 10).

  11. Restart the TaxWorks 2008 program. The upgrades will now be installed.
