- Click on the File menu, and select Restore (figure 1).

- The Restore screen will appear. Choose the Path to Backup Set and the Backup Set that contains the backup you wish to restore from and click Next (figure 2).
- In the Backup Set box, any dates that may be showing are from using the Manual System Backup.
- Auto Backup contains all the data that was backed up by the Auto Backup feature in TaxWorks.

- In selecting the File Type, you have three options to choose from. Select the appropriate type and click Next (figure 3).

Refer to figure 3 above for items a through c.
- Program Files refers to backup files for the user-specific settings and Management Database backup information.
- Client Files refers to the actual client files that have been backed up.
- Advanced will show all the files that have been backed up, both program and client files.
- The next screen shown will list the files pertaining to the corresponding bullet from figure 3 above. Tag the items you would like to restore and click Next (figure 4).
Note: The image below shows the list of files specifically from the Client Files file type. The screens for both the Program Files and Advanced file types will be slightly different.

- The last screen will display the progress and results of the Restore (figure 5).
- If you would like to restore more files, click on the More button. Otherwise, click Close.
