- Click on Start, All Programs, TaxWorks 2008, and select Support Tool (figure 1).

- This will open the Support Tool (figure 2).

- Repair Client File This tool is used to remove possible corruption from a client (*.clt) file.
- View Zip Files Selecting this option will open a text file showing the installed version of each system as well as the upgrade server version (figure 3).

- Check Administrator Rights Selecting this will verify if the current Windows user has been give administrative rights (figure 4).

- Set File to Read/Write Selecting this will open up a window to browse for a particular file (figure 5).

- A message will appear confirming the file was set with Read/Write permissions (figure 6).

- Set Directory to Read/Write Select this option to set an entire directory with Read/Write permissions (figure 7).

(figure 7)
- A message will appear confirming the directory was set with Read/Write permissions (figure 8).

- Exit Selecting this option will close the support tool.
