  1. Open the Support Tool. To do this, click on Start, All Programs, TaxWorks 2008, and select Support Tool (figure 1).

  2. In the Support Tool, click on the Installation menu (figure 2).

Refer to figure 2 above from items a through e.

  1. Install Systems – This will take you to the Install Systems window and allow you to install any Federal or State system (figure 3).

  2. Reinstall All Installed Files – This will reset the installation of all program files to be installed (figure 4). When you select this, you must restart the TaxWorks program to start the reinstall of the files (figure 5).

  3. Install Pubs and IRS Helps – These files are for accessing the government publications and IRS helps through our program without having to access them through the web. Click Yes if you wish to install (figure 6).

  4. Delete Pubs and IRS Helps – If you would like to remove the government publications and IRS helps, select this option. Click OK (figure 7).

  5. Data Paths – Selecting this option will open the Data Paths window allowing you to view, add, edit, or delete Data Paths(figure 8).
