* If one, several, or even all of your clients are missing from the client selection screen you can rebuild the path and folder that they are located in by following these instructions and your clients should then show up.
- To rebuild the client selection in TaxWorks, click on the Clients Button (figure 1).

- From the Client Selection, click the Utilities menu and select Rebuild Clients or press ALT+R on the keyboard (figure 2).

- The rebuild clients screen will open and from here you can choose rebuild options (figure 3).

- To rebuild all systems, all paths, and all folders, click on this button.
- To only rebuild one system (1040, 1041, etc.), choose the system with this menu.
- To only rebuild one path, choose the path to rebuild with this menu.
- To only rebuild one folder, choose the folder to rebuild with this menu.
- Check this box to rebuild client indexes. This will create an index file for clients if one is not already created.
- Check this box to rebuild the data folders.
- Check this box to rebuild client management. This will only rebuild information that can be found on the client selection screen. To reprocess all the information in the client returns into management, you will need to batch process.
- Once you have chosen the options, click on next (figure 4).

- The program will then start to rebuild the client list. When it is done, you will be presented with a list of the conversions statistics. Click on close to be taken back to the rebuilt Client Selection screen (figure 5).

- If the clients still are not listed, check the Data Paths and make sure they are looking at the correct location.
