We do not support backing up files to a CD-ROM.

These files will be stored on your working drive. The initials "WD" will be used to designate the drive at the beginning of each file. If you are working on a network, you will need to locate these files on your network drive. If you are on a stand alone machine, the working drive will be C.

Auto Backup Location – WD:\TaxPrep\TY08\Backup\Auto (all contents of this folder). Each Auto Backup has the following subdirectories.

    • Archive – in Archive there are several zip files that will be labeled Auto Backup_Copy_Date_Time.zip.
      • For example if the program automatically backed up on November 11, 2008 at 2:30 pm, it would read:
        Auto Backup_COPY_20081111_1430.ZIP.

    • Catalogs – In the Catalogs it is a list of what was backed up and the location, which is necessary in order for the program to detect the files. It will be in a similar format as the Archive, but the extension will say CAT at the end.
      • For example if the program automatically backed up on November 11, 2008 at 2:30 pm, it would read:
        Auto Backup_COPY_20081111_1430.CAT

    • Logs – This logs the backup all together; it will have the date and time, directories, number of files and number of files skipped. It also will have the same date format with the extension of LOG at the end. However, the time will include the seconds, because you can have several backups in one day.
      • For example if the program automatically backed up on November 11, 2008 at 2:30 pm, it would read:
        20081111_143025.LOG
