SO10398 - Installing Sample Returns

How to install the sample returns that have been included in the program to assist you in preparing a tax return.

You will be prompted to install sample returns at the end of the initial installation of the program (figure 1). If you do not install them during the initial install and want to install them at a later time, complete the following steps.

  1. Insert the latest TaxWorks CD into the CD-ROM drive.

  2. On the Client Selection screen, click on the Utilities menu and select Install Sample Returns (figure 2).

  3. When the returns have been installed, you will receive the following message (figure 3). Click on the OK button.

  4. To open a sample return, select the Samples folder in the Client Selection window and double click on the sample return you would like to use or highlight it and click the Open icon (figure 4).
