The Switches tab contains the system-related switches (figure 1). The other switches can be found within the Forms and Audits tabs in Control Data.

1. Checking this will suppress the auto calculation of social security wages and medicare tax withheld.
2. Checking this will suppress the summary and invoice when batch processing extensions from the Client Selection Screen.
3. Checking this will hide the ability to suppress the automatic status (figure 2) and backup dialog boxes (figure 3).

4. Checking this will hide certain input items on the Invoice screen (figure 4).

5. Checking this will hide the client number column in the client selection screen so it does not show.
6. Checking this will put long descriptions on the form selection section of the input screen (figure 5).

7. Checking this will cause the month of the due date to be spelled out on the Instruction Letter (figure 6).

8. Checking this will force all new entries in the libraries and statements to UPPER CASE.
9. Checking this will cause the SSN/EIN on the client selection screen to be written out and not masked (figure 7).

10. Checking this box will default the preparer as the 3rd Party Designee on each Federal and State return.
11. Checking this box will suppress the Bank Account Verification sheet from generating in review.
12. Checking this box will cause any notes entered for a client to open when you open the client file (figure 8).

13. Checking this box will open the following message when you open a client with "Completed" status (figure 9).

14. Checking this box will cause the data on forms to print in UPPER CASE.
15. Checking this will cause the data on Invoice and Letter Codes to print in UPPER CASE.
