EF10154 - EF Rejects
Description:
How to view E-File Rejects in the TaxWorks E-File Center.

Within the E-File Center, you can easily check the status of rejected returns, and find out the reasons why they were rejected.

  1. Click on the EF Ctr button from within TaxWorks (figure 1).

  3. You will see the following screen. Enter your User Name and Password and click Log In (figure 2).

  5. Once you have logged in, you will see the Overview screen. You can view the rejects two ways:
    1. Click on Rejects to view the returns that are currently rejected (figure 3).

    3. You can also click on Database from the top menu. You can click the links on this screen to view current, federal, state, or unresolvable rejects (figure 4).

  6. After clicking on Rejects, you will be brought to a screen listing the rejects. Click on the client name to view the client information (figure 5).

  8. Click on Rejected under the Acknowledgement section (figure 6).

  10. A description of why the return was rejected will be displayed here. Read the reason, make any necessary changes to the return as needed, and send the efile again. Once the efile is sent again, it will be removed from the rejected section of the EF center (figure 7).
